Brief outline of position:

1. Provide group and individual counseling to emotionally handicapped children and adolescents with school and family intervention.

2. Coordinate and conduct the admission of children into the school-based Children’s Nurture A-1 Program at the assigned site.

3. Provide family consultation when necessary.

4. Act as liaison with school personnel.

5. Perform other clinical and administrative tasks as assigned by the Director.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree required in a mental health related field with 2 - 4 years experience providing group and/or individual counseling/psychotherapy with emotionally handicapped children and adolescents; experience with family counseling, crisis intervention and school consultation preferred; knowledge of the Philadelphia Public Schools preferred.

Must be physically able to: a) climb stairs: b) take public transportation; c) assist with restraining clients in emergency situations.
