Mobile Therapist- FFS
DEPARTMENT: Children’s Mental Health Services
REPORTS TO: PROGRAM COORDINATOR- BHRS
FEE FOR SERVICE HOURLY RATE: $34.00- Direct contact hours with one additional hour paid for administrative/ supervisory time per week. Travel time is calculated into the rate.
OVERVIEW:
This position requires the clinician to function as a mobile therapist and lead clinician for the identified client. This includes providing intensive child-centered, family focused psychotherapy using a variety of strength based modalities in numerous settings. Specific interventions should be utilized according to the individual client. The clinician will also be responsible for identifying behavioral goals, maintaining contact while collaborating with the child, family, and treatment team while providing assessment, monitoring of treatment, and behavior management. The lead clinician will design and direct implementation of a behavior modification intervention plan which is individualized to the child/adolescent and family needs.
BRIEF OUTLINE OF POSITION:
1. Assessment of strengths and therapeutic needs.
2. Determination with the family and other involved professionals of any other necessary family support services.
3. Observation and assessment of the child in the setting where behavioral intervention(s) will be implemented.
4. Development of the behavioral intervention plan.
5. Collaboration with other members of the team regarding their roles and responsibilities in implementing the plan.
6. Collaboration with the team so that school, home and community behavioral plans compliment each other.
7. Consultation to the team when problems arise in the implementation of the plan and crisis intervention.
8. Revision of intervention plan as needed.
9. Assessment of strengths and therapeutic needs.
10. Determination of any other necessary family support services to provide continuity of care.
11. Attend regularly scheduled supervision with a CATCH licensed psychologist.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s Degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health program with Psychotherapy Lab and Clinical Practicum. At least one year verified post-Master’s experience providing psychotherapy/counseling to children. At their own cost, a Mobile Therapist must maintain proof of current CBH and State requirements including valid FBI, State Criminal and Child Abuse clearances; an unexpired first aide and CPR training, behavior modification training (8 credit hour minimum) annually in addition to 10 credit hours annually of continuing education training. When available, a Mobile Therapist may attend a CATCH offered Quality Assurance course, but they will not be paid their hourly rate for attendance.
