The Children’s School-Based Day, or "A1" Program, helps younger children make a successful adjustment to the school environment. It also helps older children understand the various pressures they face and assists them with making more appropriate decisions. Participating children attend three half-day sessions a week. In a small group setting, they gain a better understanding of how their behavior is seen by others and how these behaviors may cause problems in school and at home. Psychological testing and psychiatric evaluations are available if special learning needs or problems emerge during the course of treatment. |
